Soundtrack
Review | The Lizzie McGuire Movie

The extremely successful show "Lizzie
McGuire" makes its jump to the big screen on May 2nd, but before
making appearance on that screen, the soundtrack will start flying off
shelves on April 22, 2003.
The debut of the soundtrack is quite pleasant. Those
who watch the show on Disney channel might have noticed that some
tracks from the CD, that are sang by Hilary Duff, have already been
aired. Duff does not really rely on her vocal abilities to carry a
song, but rather on her charisma. Her vocals are pleasant and her
tunes are catchy enough, but it's her personality that makes it stick.
"Why Not" and "What Dreams Are Made Of" are the
two tracks that are performed by her.
The rest of the soundtrack features a few great tunes
and many mediocre ones. The standouts include Vitamin C's "Volvare,"
a song performed only partially in English, "Girl In The
Band," (Haylie Duff) which has a Josie-and-the-Pussie-Cats feel
to it, and "On An Evening In Roma" by the one and only, Dean
Martin.
Soundtrack available from Walt Disney Records on April 22nd, for a
suggested retail price of $18.98.
