In conjunction with MGM's Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde
and National Blonde Day Moda Mag.com proudly presents: Blonde
Pride - A contest that calls all blondes and supporters to stand
united and "be true to their roots:" Blonde Pride.
The Blonde Legal Defense Club has announced that
this year's National Blonde Day celebration will take place on June
30, 2003. This year's theme will be "Makeover America," an
inspirational call for blondes and blondes-at-heart to celebrate their
individuality and maybe even change the world.
“In a civilization with lash-separating
mascara and cosmetic treatments that eliminate frown lines and
wrinkles, it’s unthinkable that appearance-based discrimination
still exists,” said BLDC chapter president Tiffany Pinkins.
“We’ve heard the blonde jokes, we’ve seen the
half-hidden, whispered exchanges behind our backs at hair salons or by
the pool. It’s time for
it to stop.”
The BLDC hopes it can
inspire people to expand their efforts and push for change against
injustice on local, national, and global levels.
“Personal change is easy.
You can revamp your wardrobe, go on an all-salmon diet, or just
buy a new lip gloss,” says Pinkins.
“But we want everyone to understand that by taking a stand
and letting our voices be heard, we can make our world a better place.
Even one person can make a big difference.” The National
Blonde Day will take place right in time for the premiere of Legally
Blonde 2:

matter the hair color.
