| What immediately caught my eye
while viewing Fia's designs was her story. Fia has quite a
story which shows in her rather impressive designs. Fia toured
with a punk band, modeled for Paul Mitchell, appeared on MTV,
trained with the Israeli army (how many fashion designer are
qualified to handle an M-16?!) and much more. Not bad for a 25
year old.
Fia - the founder of Fia Miami, was born in
Biella, Italy. Her independent fashion label specializes in
tops and accessories for young women. Fia Miami is virtually a
one-woman show and she doesn't go about anything in a
traditional way, "I never have," says Fia.
Her life experiences filled Fia with vivid
images of spectacular design concepts. "I came to realize
that designing fashion was what I loved to do most," says
Fia, "It completely satisfies me, creatively." Fia
unquestionably has a unique vision to offer.
Tackling the dream of starting her own
fashion label has been quite challenging, but Fia's
strong-will would have it no other way.
